Adele Lau

Adele (Radamacker) Lau, age 85, of Guttenberg, IA, died Friday, January 7, 2011, at the Guttenberg Care Center. She was born December 15, 1925, in Guttenberg, the daughter of George and Anna (Reinhardt) Radamacker. Adele attended Guttenberg Community School and was employed at the button factory and the canning factory in Guttenberg. She was married to Merrill L. Lau on April 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Adele enjoyed bowling, playing cards especially euchre and pinochle, gardening, canning and was an exceptional baker. Surviving are her children, Sandie (Lonnie) Beisker of McGregor, Steven Lau of Delhi, Wayne (Carol) Lau, Jeff (Jean) Lau all of Guttenberg, and Dawn (Daniel) Coyle of Delhi; Merrill (Tanya) Hyde of The Villages, FL; 17 grandchildren, Laurie (Larry) Barker of Postville, Kris Lewis, Lee (Sara) Zapf all of Garnavillo, Kecia Lau and Amber Lau both of Guttenberg, Chuck Lau of Hinesville, Georgia, Justin and Michelle Lau, all of Dyersville, Ben (Darby) Coyle of Anamosa, Melissa, and Katie Coyle of Delhi, 16 great grandchildren, and a brother, Kenneth of Des Plaines, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill and nine brothers and sisters.
