Alice Digman

DYERSVILLE, IOWA Alice A. Digman, 84, of Dyersville, Iowa died Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade. Friends may call from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Friday from 9 – 10 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery, Rev Dennis Quint will officiate. Alice was born March 22, 1931 in Petersburg the daughter of Serenus and Mathilda (Deutmeyer) Harter. She married Ralph L. Digman on September 8, 1953, in Petersburg. Together they farmed for about 16 years and moved to town. Survivors include his children: Barb Davidshofer of New Vienna, David Digman and Robert Digman, both of Earlville, Daniel Digman and Dianne Digman, both of Elgin, TX, Lisa Sutton of Bennett, Susan Dunkel of Dyersville, Kenneth Digman of Winchester, MA, Carolee Beohm and Sally Digman, both of Earlville, and Tom Digman of Luxemburg; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jane (Pete) Oberbroeckling, Dorothy Ludwig, Elmer (Connie) Harter and Joe (Joan) Harter; 2 sisters-in-law, Clara Harter and Verna Lee Digman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph in 2014, two sons: James in 1999 and Steven in 2007; a brother, Henry Harter; 3 brothers-in-law: Bill Ludwig, John Digman and Edward Digman, a sister-in-law, Helen (Eugene) Steffensmeier, her parents-in-law, Anton and Mary Digman.
