Obituary Allen Michael Edward Nieland, age 64, of Guttenberg, IA, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2019, at home, surrounded by family. He was born on July 13, 1954, in Guttenberg, the son of Norbert "Norbie" and Donna Kann Nieland. Allen attended and graduated from Guttenberg High School with the Class of 1972. Just a few short weeks after graduation on June 17, 1972, Allen was united in marriage to Kathy Niehaus. Unto this union they were blessed with two children, Jody and Alex. Allen began farming on his parents farm but quickly found a love for cutting timber. He joined Livingston Lumber Co. and was a Veneer cutter for 20+ years.
