Aloysius "Hans" Schlueter

Aloysius Joseph "Hans" Schlueter was born the son of Joseph and Cecilia (Wolter) Schlueter, January 13, 1918, on the family farm near Guttenberg. He died Friday, October 27, 2006, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a sudden illness. Hans received his education locally; served his country in the United States Army during WWII, and farmed for many years. He was a member of Clay-Gar American Legion Post #723 and enjoyed visiting with people, especially at the post office, working at Reds Fix it Shop, puzzles, and eating chocolate. On April 16, 1947, he was united in marriage with Margaret Mueller at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Garnavillo. He is survived by his wife Margaret; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
