Surviving are his wife, Irene, a son, David J.A. (Janice) Kramer of Dyersville, 3 grandchildren: Diane (Dale) Hefel of Farley, Darrell Kramer (and his fiancé, Sally Scherrman) of Dyersville and Janet (Mark) Stelken of Dyersville, 5 great grandchildren: Andy, Jenna and Madison Stelken, Danielle and Dina Hefel, 2 step great grandchildren, Claire and Eva, 1 brother, Charles (Mary) Kramer of Earlville, IA, 1 brother-in-law, Earl Tegeler of Dyersville, 3 sisters-in-law, Bernice Lansing of Dyersville, Mildred Kramer of Hopkinton and Irene Kramer of Epworth. Shorty was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Gertrude Ries, Margaret Kramer, Rosemary Tegeler and 3 brothers: Clarence, Alvin and Lawrence Kramer. Mr. Kramer was born October 27, 1913, in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Henry I. and Mary (Stelken) Kramer. He married Irene Lansing on January 2, 1938, in St. Francis Xavier Church. They farmed Northeast of Dyersville and he worked for Jack Light / Wendling Quarries until his retirement about 1975. His hobbies were carpentering, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
