Andy P. Moser

Andy Perrin Moser was born the son of Sumner "Sam" and Sarah "Sadie" (Pierce) Moser, March 26, 1923, near Osterdock. He died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Andy received his education at the Friedlein Country School; farmed with his family; worked construction, as a mechanic and was an escort for American Homes for many years. He was one of the founders of the North East Iowa Antique Assoc., and enjoyed cooking chicken for the Assoc. dinners. He also enjoyed playing cards and fishing. On September 9, 1944, Andy was united in marriage with Delpha Decker in Guttenberg. He is survived by four daughters, Carol (Ed) Schroeder of Iron River, Mich., Leila (Lester) Hefel of Holy Cross, Penny (Tim) McGuine of San Antonio, Texas, and Becky (Jose) Cano of Clifton, Texas; three sons, Larry (Dorothy) Moser of Colesburg, Lonnie (Rose) Moser of Colesburg, and Lynn (Lorna) Moser of Colesburg,; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Niehaus of Guttenberg, Grace Mann of California, and Hilda (Richard) Kalina of Alton Illinois; one brother, Henry (Corrine) Moser of Guttenberg; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Moser and Bonnie Moser; and one brother-in-law, Eugene Handke. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Lavern Moser, Elmer "Blackie" Moser, and Donald Moser; and two sisters, Ellen Handke and Jeannine Thiltgen.Hnorary Bearers: LaVern Haas, Lloyd Poppy, Howard Faye, Devere Clinton, Granddaughters; and the Plagman Barn Asso.Casket Bearers: Edward Schroeder, Shawn Moser, Andy Hefel, Thomas Hefel, Jamie McGuine, Jason McGuine, Nick Cano, Skyler Moser, and Philip Moser.Visitation: Friday 4:00 - 8:00 P.M.
