Angeline B. Jaeger, 97, of Worthington died Sat. March 26, 2011, at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade. Friends may call from 3 - 7 p.m. Tues., March 29, 2011, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 5 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wed. March 30, 2011, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Robert Gross will officiate and Deacon Fred Pins will assist. Angie was born Dec. 19, 1913, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Baehler) Wolfe in St. Paul, MN, and was baptized at St. Agnes Church, St. Paul, MN. She graduated from St. Paul School, Worthington, IA with the Class of 1931 and went on to the Univ. of Dubuque to earn her teaching certificate. She taught in the Cascade Township School from 1932 - 1936. She then moved to Chicago and worked with the Atlas Outdoor Sign and Advertising Co. for 14 years. On Dec. 2, 1949, she married George J. Jaeger in Chicago and together they returned to Worthington in 1950. She worked for a number of years at the Worthington Memorial Hall and also for many years as the bookkeeper for Farmers' Oil Company, and finally as the manager/cook for the hot lunch program at St. Paul School for 17 years until retiring in 1981. She is a former Associate Member of the Dubuque Area Chapter of Telephone Pioneers and was a member of the St. Paul Altar and Rosary Society. She loved to spend time outdoors tending to the yard, garden and flowers. She is survived by two sisters: Eileen Kramer of Hiawatha and Kay (Don) Link of Epworth; two brothers, John (Grace) Wolfe of Clinton and Ronald (Jean) Wolfe of Worthington, one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Wolf of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1991; 4 sisters: Wilma Wolfe, Florence (Eugene O.) McElmeel, LauraBelle (Fancis) Knepper and Eleanor(Celester) Rubner; four brothers: Charles (Dorothy), Leon (Sally Neyen), Urban and William (Marcella) Wolfe, and an additional brother-in-law, Arnold Kramer. Memorials are preferred to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
