Anita Scherbring

Survivors include her 4 sons: Donald (Donna) Scherbring of Guttenberg, John Scherbring of Vinton, Iowa, David (Debra) Scherbring of Manchester and Dennis (Susan) Scherbring of Manchester; 4 daughters: Mary Kay (Roger) Krugger of Murfreesboro, TN, Patricia Scherbring of Manchester, Janet Scherbring of Dyersville and Lori (Barry) Panton of Dyersville; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jerry (Celeste) Johannes of Cedar Rapids and a sister, Norma Schmitt of Clinton, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband John F. in 1993, her parents, William and Zita and 3 brothers: Fr. Wilfred Johannes, Arnold and Robert Johannes. Condolences accepted and information at www.kramerfuneral.com. Anita was born on January 3, 1926 in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of William F. and Zita A. (Langel) Johannes. She graduated St. Francis Xavier High School in 1943. Anita married John F. Scherbring on October 12, 1949 in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Petersburg area until retirement in 1981. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening and was a member of the Christian Mothers in Petersburg. Anita moved to Dyersville to live with her daughter in 1995.
