Anita Stade

Anita Bertha Ida (Bahls) Stade, age 93, of Garnavillo, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Guttenberg Care Center. She was born the daughter of Max and Bertha (Holberg) Bahls, November 22, 1917, near Garnavillo. Anita received her education locally, on May 3, 1935; she was united in marriage with Clarence Stade at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Anita farmed with her family, and served lunches at school for many years. She was a member of the St. Pauls Ladies Aid and enjoyed cards and traveling. Those left to cherish her memory, one daughter, Donna (Richard) Franks of Oelwein; one son, Stanley (Sharon) Stade of Garnavillo; three grandsons, Kent (Sandra) Franks, Kurt (Donna) Franks, and Scott (Melissa) Stade; three great-grandchildren, Bryon Franks, Rachel Franks, and Joshua Stade. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-grandson, Aaron Franks; seven brothers, Arthur, Walter, William, Verni, Carl, Lawrence, Arno; and three sisters, Cora, Esther, and Emma.In Lieu of flowers, plants, statuary, benches and all styles of gifts the family would prefer memorials to be sent to the Garnavillo First Responders, Guttenberg Ambulance Service or the Handicap Access Fund at St. Pauls Church in Garnavillo.Visitation: 11 - 2 Wednesday December 15, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, GarnavilloFuneral Service: 2 PM Wednesday December 15, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, GarnavilloInterment: Garnavillo Community Cemetery Service Information A service summary is not available
