Survivors include her husband, Edmund, 4 children: Florian (Karen) Steffen of Maquoketa, IA, Mary (John) Smith of Ryan, IA, Darlene (Delbert) Ronnebaum and Donald (Jackie) Steffen both of Earlville, IA, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one brother, James (Verna Mae) Diers of Colesburg, IA, one sister, Jeanette (Conrad) Tegeler of Manchester, IA, sisters-in-law: Eunice Diers of Colesburg, IA, Frances Klein of Winthrop, IA, Esther Ries of Greeley, IA, and Delores Steffen of Dyersville, IA, and one brother-in-law, Jerry Ellerbach of Holy Cross, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Alice (Edward) Rausch and Joanie Ellerbach, a brother Paul Diers, brothers-in-law: Leon Klein, Clarence Steffen, Albert (Leone) Steffen, Donald Ries and a sister-in-law, Clara (John) Burbridge. Anna Mae was born on August 21, 1921 in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of Isadore and Alma (Ferring) Diers. She married Edmund Benjamin Steffen on October 15, 1945 in Colesburg, Iowa. Together they farmed near Earlville until their retirement when they moved to Delhi. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
