Ardell Priebe

Ardell Ruth (Pufahl) Priebe, age 76, of Garnavillo, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Tower Living Center in Garnavillo. She was born the daughter of Oscar and Irene (Backhaus) Pufahl, July 6, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri. Ardell graduated from the Garnavillo High School. On May 9 1955, she was united in marriage with Ronald Priebe in Maquoketa, Iowa. She worked as a nurses aid for 27 years at the Guttenberg Care Center, and enjoyed reading, taking care of the elderly and watching soap operas. She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Danner of Virginia, Nancy Stickfort of Garnavillo, and Crystal (Kim) Medlin of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Mark (Denise Fuller) Priebe of Garnavillo; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many friends.
