Survivors include a daughter, Mary C. (Richard) Herbers, and a son, Tom (Karen) Turner, both of Dyersville, IA; a son-in-law, Roy Schindler of Lewisville, TX; eight grandchildren: Mollie (Brian) Prescott, Kelly Herbers, Amy (fiancée, Steve Kinney) Herbers, Tim Herbers, Sara and Megan Turner, Reenie (Ken) Breyer, Rob Schindler; three great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Samuel and Hannah Schindler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on Feb. 3, 1990; two daughters: Donna Jo Turner, Sept. 24, 1977 and Ruth Ann Schindler Feb. 9, 2004; a grandson, Rick Schindler, July 23, 1998; five brothers: Maurice, Melvin, William, Kenneth and James Fenelon; and one sister, Catharine "Kack" Steger. Arlaine was born on November 15, 1916 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mollie (Wiegand) Fenelon. She married Donald Joseph Turner on September 28, 1944 in Salina, Kansas. Arlaine was a homemaker, and loved to play bingo and cards with her friends and family. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, particularly the grandchildren who called her Grandma Don. Heartfelt thank you to the staff at Oak Crest Manor for their compassion and loving care during Mom's 10 years there. Also, thank you to the doctors for making visits.
