Arlene Bauer

All services will be private.Arlene (Henry) Bauer, age 83, of Garnavillo, IA, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. She was born the daughter of William and Amanda (Steeman) Henry Sr. on February 9, 1924 on the home farm near Garnavillo. Arlene received her education locally and was a homemaker for many years. On June 24, 1947 she was united in marriage with Louis Bauer at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Arlene was a member of the ladies aid at church and enjoyed quilting and embroidery work. Those left to celebrate her memory are her two daughters, Terry (Paul) Ertz of Garnavillo and Lois (Jeff) Matt of Shell Rock, IA; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Henry of Elkader; one niece, Jan Bauer; two nephews, Ronnie Bauer and Morris (Marcee) Bauer all of Garnavillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son in infancy and one great-granddaughter Samantha.In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Pauls Lutheran Church Garnavillo Iowa or a charity of your choice.
