Arlene Conrad

DYERSVILLE, IOWA Arlene A. Conrad, 79, of Dyersville and formerly of North Buena Vista, entered into eternal peace Monday, April 4, 2016, at Oak Park Place Memory Care Unit, Dubuque. Visitation will be held from 8 – 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 6, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Rev. Jeffrey Dole will officiate. Arlene was born July 29, 1936, in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Leland and Bernadette (Grochin) Kircher. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1954 and married the love of her life, Wayne “Fritz” Conrad on September 13, 1958. They were married for over 58 years and made residences in Dyersville, Dubuque and North Buena Vista. Arlene had a deep love of animals and wildlife, and loved to draw, paint and sing. She was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; husband, Wayne “Fritz”, 2 children, John (Maria) Conrad of Addison, IL and Shelly (John) Rome of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren: Brian Hanson, John, Nicholas and Alex Conrad, Maggie and Annie Rome; sisters, Helen Schroeder, Leota Kircher, Mary Francis (Robert) Lewis, all of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Brimeyer of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law: Edward & Margaret Conrad, a sister Kathleen (Albert “Huck”) Greenwald, and brothers-in-law, Robert Schroeder and William Brimeyer.
