Arnetha Rose Marting, 87, of Garnavillo, IA, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1927, in Delhi, IA, the daughter of Ross and Hazel (Smock) Morley. Arnetha was united in marriage with Dwayne Marting on June 7, 1946, at Zion Lutheran Church in Clayton Center. Together they were dairy farmers until Dwayne passed away on January 12, 1981. She continued to live and help on the farm until she moved to Tower Living Center in Garnavillo in November 2012. Some of her many interests were playing cards, supporting the Chicago Cubs and taking numerous bus trips. She belonged to TOPS and was proud to be a KOPS for many years. Survivors include a son, Mike (Joyce) Marting of Clayton Center; two grandsons, Nathan (Reagen) Marting of Jesup and Ryan (Teri Ann) Marting of Elkader; four great granddaughters, Noa, Ella, Emma and Hanna Marting of Jesup; sister-in-law, Delores Morley of Dubuque; three nieces, one nephew and many friends. Arnetha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, step mother, Mary; brother, Eugene Morley; son David in infancy and daughter Patricia.All services will be private.
