Obituary Arthur John Herman, Jr., age 87, of Guttenberg, IA, died Sunday, October 24, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on Sep 14, 1934 in Elkader, the son of Arthur John and Carmen (Portwine) Herman Sr. Arthur received his education locally and graduated from St. Marys Catholic High School in 1952. On April 14, 1956, Arthur was united in marriage with Lilamae Bolsinger at St. Marys Church in Guttenberg. For many years Arthur worked for John Deere until his retirement. Arthur enjoyed rabbit hunting, working in his yard and most of all spending time with his family. Arthur is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Lilamae; 4 children, Phyllis (Randy) Harbaugh, James (Laurie) Herman, Susan (Robert) Collins & Mark (Lori Creery) Herman; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Bernita Moser and many other relatives and friends. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; daughter, Vickie; granddaughter, Tina; great grandson, Christian & brother Curtis.
