Beatrice Barron

Beatrice Cecelia Barron, age 83, of Garnavillo, IA, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Garnavillo, IA. She was born the daughter of Anthony and Eva Kutz in Baltimore MD, on May 21, 1931. Beatrice received her education in Baltimore where she graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1948. A few years later, she was united in marriage with Albert Barron on January 26, 1952, at Holy Cross Church in Baltimore and this union blessed them with two daughters. Beatrice was an accomplished self-taught artist. She loved to sew. Her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were recipients of many pieces of her handmade clothing. Beatrice enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting plus she loved gardening. She and her husband recently moved from Ocean Springs MS to live with her daughter and son in law. Beatrice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Albert; two daughters, Joanne (Hugh) Hedemann and Donna (William) Ballentine; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Ferguson; three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Hirth and Christina Francis; one brother, Anthony Walter KutzIn Lieu of flowers and all styles of sympathy, the family has requested that memorials be sent to St. Mary's IC Catholic School, 510 S. 2nd St Guttenberg, IA 52052.Memorial Service: Sunday 2:00 P.M.
