Berdina Duwe

Berdina Louise Alma (Troester) Duwe, age 87, died Friday, January 19, 2007, at the Guttenberg Care Center. She was born the daughter of Gustav and Louise (Brase) Troester, April 9, 1919, near Guttenberg. Berdina received her education locally and was a homemaker for many years. She loved flowers, always had something blooming year round, and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, especially solitaire, crossword puzzles, scrap booking, music, and dancing. She was a Blazerette for the Guttenberg Firemens Auxiliary. On June 7, 1944, Berdina was united in marriage with Howard Duwe. She is survived by her husband, Howard; one daughter, Denise (Lyle) Moser of Guttenberg, two grandchildren, Tammy Hyde of Guttenberg and Lee (Rachel) Moser of Manchester; four great-grandchildren, Preslie Moser, Madelyn Moser, Alex Hyde, and Carlie Hyde; two brothers, LeVerne (Lorna) Troester of Guttenberg and Roland (Sharon) Troester of Garnavillo, brothers-in-law, Duwane (Eldora) Duwe of Guttenberg, and Curt (Pat) Duwe of Marion, sister-in-law, Laverne Troester of Garnavillo, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Darwin, one brother, Oscar Troester, sister-in-law, Dorene Walter and her parents-in-law, Larry and Mathilda Duwe.Visitation: Monday 9:30 - 10:30 A.M.
