Obituary Bernard Hensel Peterson, age 81, of Garnavillo, IA, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born on June 12, 1939 in Guttenberg, IA, the son of Hensel and Ruby (Vorwald) Peterson. Bernard received his education and graduated from the Garnavillo High School and then attended the University of Iowa. Bernard was born a salesman. He sold everything from greeting cards and pots and pans to developing his own businesses as Handi-Check as well as a perfume company called Lair Dȯr. He traveled extensively to Europe & Asia and never missed a good meal! He befriended many people in all walks of life. He loved life and people will always remember is smile. Bernard enjoyed his nephews and nieces and was a loving son, brother and uncle. Bernard entered eternal life leaving behind his two siblings; Barbara Matthews & James (Connie) Peterson and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and many friends.
