Billie Smith

GUTTENBERG, IOWA

Billie E. Smith, 88, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Billie was born on January 1, 1935 to Ferman and Berdina (Schrunk) Smith.

Visitation will be held from 1 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Inurnment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Colesburg, Iowa, where military honors will be accorded by the Guttenberg Legion Post #0373 and Amvets Post 15.

Billie worked a majority of his life for Wright Tree Service.

He served in the Army, stationed in Alaska. He was an Amvets member and a Charter member of the Eagles Club. Billie loved going to auctions, garage sales and wheeling & dealing for the best deals.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Deb (Mark) Reardon, Peggy (Mike) Wolfe, Roger Smith, and Randy (Rachel) Smith; grandchildren: Scott, Heather, Clay (Dar), Bill, Tony, Tim (Nikki), Leah (Michael), and Nathan; 13 great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sheila and a sister, Donna (John) Conley.
