MONTICELLO, IOWA Robert D. Boots, 70, of Monticello, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 12 beginning at 1 p.m. at Wapsipinicon State Park, at the upside down bridge, in Anamosa. Robert was born June 12, 1950 in Monticello, Iowa the son of Earl and Bionda (Topping) Boots. He married Kathleen Salow on May 29, 1976 in Earlville, Iowa. Bob and Kathy farmed North of Monticello. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Bob cherished his time with his family. He and Kathy enjoyed the last 25 years together in Monticello after purchasing his parent’s home. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy, children: Robert (Shawndee) Boots, Kay Cupples, Ray (Nikita) Boots, grandchildren: David Titman, Ethan Boots, Madelynn Cupples, Valerie Cupples, Vannessa Clapp, Colby Ransdell, Chloe Cupples, Martin Boots, Lily Cupples, John Cupples, Victoria Boots, Dana Boots; siblings: Linda Morton, John (Rhonda) Boots, Cindy (Paul) Reetz, Carla Hennings, a mother-in-law, Betty Salow and many other friends and family.
