Obituary Candace "Candy" Krapfl, age 71, of Winthrop, IA, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester, IA. She was born on June 29, 1951 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of William and Laura (Bahls) Glawe Jr. Candy received her education from the Garnavillo School and on October 20, 1973, she was united in marriage with DeWitt Krapfl and together they were blessed with 2 children. Candy worked various jobs during her lifetime but making a home for her family was a big part of her life. Candy enjoyed flowers, gardening, deer hunting, stockcar races and demo derbies. She enjoyed anything John Wayne and Elvis Presley. Candy loved watching Western movies in her free time. She collected Bells & Angels. Her pride and joy always was and always will be her family. She enjoyed watching her kids grow. Candy will be forever loved and cherished by her husband of over 48 years, DeWitt; 2 children, Navada Krapfl & Cassandra (Josh) Beyer; one grandchild, Kassidy Krapfl; siblings, Betty Kuehl, Lois Aulwes, Lyle (Darlene) Glawe, Shirley Moser, Norbert Glawe and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Candy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Loren Glawe; nephew, Scott Moser and mother and father in laws, Clarence & Gladys Krapfl.
