Carl Seifert

Carl E. Seifert was born the son of Otto and Amelia (Theodore) Seifert, December 1, 1914, in Clayton Center, Iowa. He died Friday, December 29, 2006, at Guttenberg Care Center. Carl received his education locally, and owned and operated the Seifert Standard Station & Auto Sales in Garnavillo for many years. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and cars. On September 10, 1940, he was united in marriage with Eunice Kirschbaum at St. Patricks Church in Monona. He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Joseph) Mellon of Guttenberg and Tami Schmitt of Garnavillo, two sons, Rollin (Sandra) Seifert and Robert (Mary) Seifert of Garnavillo, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, daughter in law, Lynn Seifert Kottke of South Haven, Mn, and special friend, Ilo Rodenberg of Garnavillo.
