ANAMOSA, IOWA Carole A. Boots, 71, of Anamosa died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, Apr. 29, 2013, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello where a parish vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2013, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Anamosa. Rev. Tony Kruse will officaite. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Anamosa. Carole was born March 6, 1942, in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Stohlmeyer) Welter. She graduated from Wahlert High School with the class of 1960. She married Thomas J. Toner with whom she had three daughters. They later divorced. She married Ronald R. Boots on Feb. 4, 1978, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Anamosa. Carole was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are three daughters: Lisa (Shawn) Kintzle of Prairieburg, Linda (Jack) Willett of Anamosa and Laurie (Tony) Sikorsky of Ossining, NY; a step-daughter, Valerie (Wes) Glasgow of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren: Ian, Cameron (Amy), and Max Kintzle, Kristina and Kara Willett, and Emelia Sikorsky; a step-granddaughter, Miranda Zousel, t+he father of her daughters, Thomas Toner of Iowa City; 3 brothers: Bill (Julie), Harry (Betty) and John "Hans" (Mary) Welter, all of Dubuque, and a brother-in-law, Harley Beck of Williamsburg, VA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Boots, a brother, Albert (Jean) Welter, and 2 sisters, Marie Motsch and Agnes Beck. A memorial fund has been established and memorials can be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa or the Jones Regional Medical Center. Our family would like to thank the staffs at Jones Regional Medical Center and St. Luke's ICU and Hospice.
