Catherine Brink

Catherine Elaine Brink was born the daughter of Erwin and Clara (Brutsman) Brink on July 4, 1924 in Marion Iowa. Catherine passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Catherine graduated high school in Marion and went on to Mt. Mercy, where she graduated with a degree in office management. Catherine worked as a secretary and caretaker for Father Robert Spahn for over 30 years. For her dedication she received the Bene Merenti Medal from Pope John Paul II in 1982. Later she worked for Kuempels Hardware from 1986 till her retirement in 1993 as a bookkeeper. Catherine enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, word searches and anything to keep her mind busy. She also enjoyed being a world traveler. Catherine will be remembered by many close and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Mary George.Visitation: 8:00-9:00 A.M.
