Catherine Hoeger

Katie was born on December 15, 1920 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Aloys and Theresa (Heacock) Polfer. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and later Mercy School of Nursing in 1942. She married Bernard Hoeger on June 21, 1944 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Dubuque. Survivors include two daughters Sandra (Daniel) Geistkemper, Dyersville and Susan (Robert) Hunter, Ankeny, IA, two sons Tom Hoeger, Maquoketa and Mark (Donna) Hoeger, Dubuque, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and brothers Francis (Lou) Polfer, Madison, WI and Clem (Angie) Polfer, Dubuque, She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994, a grandson Brendon Geistkemper, her parents and brothers Art, Clarence, Joe, Elmer, and Herman. The Parish Scripture Service will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa
