Cecelia Wulfekuhle

Survivors include her 2 sons: Ernest (JoAnn) of Dyersville, Joe (Pat) of Petersburg; 2 daughters: JoAnn (Edwin) Loeffelholz of Dyersville and Darlene (Joe) Szymusik of Rescue, CA, 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, 5 step-grandchildren, a sister, Leona Frieburger of Delhi, IA. and a sister-in-law, Rita Bonert of Hopkinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gregory in 1978, 8 sisters: Frances Johannes Weyer, Margaret Quint, Martha Connolly, Malvina Offermann, Florence Summers, Kathryn Nefzger, Magdalen Bonert (in infancy) and Magdalen Jesenovec and 4 brothers: Anton, Lawrence, John and Leo Bonert. Cecelia was born on January 20, 1908 in Hopkinton, Iowa, the daughter of Conrad and Barbara (Ludwig) Bonert. She attended St. Paul School in Worthington. Cecelia married Gregory B. Wulfekuhle on September 11, 1934 in Worthington, Iowa. Together they farmed near Earlville & Petersburg until retiring in 1967 when they moved to Dyersville. She worked at the Colonial Motel for many years. Cecelia loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchild. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting until the day she died. Cecelia's family would like to thank the staff at Oak Crest Manor for their excellent, compassionate care.
