Obituary Charlene G. Andregg, age 93, of Guttenberg, IA passed away Sunday, September 11, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She was born on July 25, 1929 in Guttenberg, the daughter of John and Georgiana (Dremmel) Andregg. Charlene attended school at St Marys and then entered the Army and served during the Korean War from November 1953 till she received her discharge on November 17, 1955. Charlene was very active in the American Legion Post 373 for many years and also serviced as Commander. Charlenes past times included embroidery of quilt blocks which were made into quilts and also made other quilts for her nieces and nephews. She also made quilts of Valor given to those who have served our country. She enjoyed her many trips to bingo at the Blind Society in Dubuque and became "Casino Queen" at the boat in Marquette for her many visits. Charlene was always around to help any family member out when they needed it. She will be sadly missed by many. Charlene is survived by 2 sister in laws, Janice Andregg, Betty Andregg and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters Emma Jean Andregg, Joan Lancaster, Anna Stevens, Fran Ulbrich, Ellen Burdeaux; 6 brothers, twins in infancy, John (Jack) Andregg, Jon Andregg, Gerald Andregg and Richard Andregg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be send to the Guttenberg American Legion Post 373 which meant so much to Charlene.
