He married Alice Schlick on October 5, 1933 in Worthington, Iowa. He was the 3rd Generation owner and operator of Jaeger Hardware, Plumbing and Heating in Worthington until his retirement in 1962. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, Feb. 11, 1990. his parents, 1 brother Eugene Jaeger and 2 sisters, Margaret Kurt and Bernadine Steger.
