Clyde Joseph Bird of Boynton Beach Florida died Saturday September 2, 2006, at his daughters home in Miami, Florida, following a courageous battle with cancer. Clyde was born the son of Leo and Rita (Schaul) Bird, November 18, 1932 in North Buena Vista. Clyde graduated from Hunter School. He was an Army veteran having served in Germany from 1953-1955. Clyde enjoyed country music, and belonged to the country music organization in Florida. He was employed by the Niesnor Com. Variety Store in Miami, Florida. He married Gladys Carvajal April 1975 in Ecuador, South America. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kathy (Sabastian) Caicedo; one son Alex Bird and a grandson Lucas Caicedo all of Miami, Florida; one sister, Anna Mae (Frank) Barry; two brothers, Merlin (Ruth) Bird of Guttenberg, Iowa and Gene (Verna) Bird of Dubuque, Iowa; two sisters in law, Germaine and Virginia Bird. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Francis Bird. The Bird family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at University of Miami Hospital for their care and support. A special thank you to the Catholic Hospice of Miami for the dignity and kindness shown to Clyde in his last days.Visitation: Wednesday 6:00-8:00 P.M.
