Cora Opal (Hansel) Ludovissy was born the March 29, 1920 in rural Edgewood IA, the daughter of Raymond and Anna Belle (Combs) Hansel. She passed away Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Cora grew up in the Edgewood area and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1938. Two years later she was united in marriage with Lloyd Ludovissy in Dubuque. For many years Cora worked as a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening which produced many vegetables to can, and worked with flowers. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church in North Buena Vista. Coras memory will be cherished by her two daughters, Janice (Paul) Ulbrich of Guttenberg and Patricia Ryerson of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren; one brother in law, Lawrence Ludovissy and two sisters in law Jeanette Ludovissy and Clara Ludovissy She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on September 23, 1997; son in law Charles Ryerson; one sister, Ivanell Willman; one brother Stanley Hansel; one sister in law and three brothers in law. In Lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the family of Cora Ludovissy.Visitation: Friday 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. May 23, 2008 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home Guttenberg, Iowa and one hour before service at the church hall.Funeral Service: Saturday 10:00 A.M.
