HOLY CROSS, IOWA Cynthia J. "Cindy" Bradshaw, 63, of Holy Cross died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Dyersville. Friends may call from 3 - 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross where a parish vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Holy Cross with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jose Comparan will officiate. Cindy was born January 26, 1950, in Waterloo, IA the daughter of Merle and Janet (Foss) Brown. She graduated from North High School in West Union with the class of 1968, and earned her certificate from Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids. She married Roger Bradshaw on August 21, 1970, in West Union. Together they moved to Dyersville. She enjoyed working with people, especially the elderly and the young. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and worked at Oak Crest Manor for 4 years. In 1994 they moved to Holy Cross where she was a member of TOPS for many years. She enjoyed knitting, arranging flowers, cooking and baking, and caring for all of her pets. Survivors include her husband, Roger, a daughter, Lynn (Karl) Berg of Dubuque, IA, 3 sisters: Dr. Claudia (Dr. Mike) Thomas of Cedar Rapids, IA, Peggy (Tim) Hoelscher of Royal City, WA and Paula (Dr. Mike) Orth of Lubbock, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents.
