Surviviors include 5 brothers: Tom (Jean) Benn of Dubuque, Iowa, Louis (Ruth) Benn of Manchester, Iowa, Jim (Margie) Benn of Sherrill, Iowa, George (Linda) Benn of Dubuque, Iowa and Herb (Violet) Benn of Meridian, Idaho; 3 sisters: Rosemary Harrington of Dyersville, IA, Ruth (Bob) Nurre of Delhi, IA, Frances (Walter) Davidshofer of Worthington, IA; 2 sisters-in-law; Gwen Benn (fianceŒ Jim Schmitt) of Earlville and Carol (Mike) Lundergan of Dyersville, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Loras, Vernon, and Charles Benn. Danny was born February 15, 1941 in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Herbert and Frances (Kremer) Benn. He farmed on the home farm until 2002 when he moved to rural Edgewood. There he provided transportation for several families of the Amish Community of Edgewood. Danny enjoyed listening to the radio, was a White Sox fan and enjoyed dabbling in photography. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wed. July 9, 2008 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Kramer Funeral Home, in Dyersville, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa.
