Surviving are his wife, Jenean of Scotch Grove, a son, Jim Schuster (special friend Shelly Robertson) of Fairfax, Iowa, a granddaughter, Kayla Schuster of Urbandale, Iowa, a brother, Tom Schuster of Monticello, a sister, Jane (Terry) Wright of Orion, Ill, a niece, Lindsay Wright of Orion, Ill, his mother-in-law, DeLoris Feldman of Monticello, and four brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Diane (Steve) Behrends of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Dennis (Donna) Feldman of Lisbon, Iowa, Larry (Gretchen) Feldman of Lisbon, Iowa, and Marilee Feldman of Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dave was born June 17, 1948, in Anamosa, Iowa the son of Wilfred and Louise (Schwers) Schuster. He graduated from Monticello High School with the Class of 1966 and began working at Monticello Implement. Dave and Jenean Feldman were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello on November 26, 1966. Together they purchased RJ Station in Scotch Grove in 1973 and have been the owners since. Dave also farmed in the Scotch Grove area and kept himself busy as a handyman for friends and relatives. Dave loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and was a member and caretaker of the Scotch Grove Coonhunters for many years. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello where there will be a parish scripture service at 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello with inurnment at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Keith Birch will officiate. A light meal and refreshments will be served at Kramer Funeral Home immediately following the committal service.
