HOLY CROSS, IOWA Debra M. Osterhaus, 58, of Dubuque and formerly of Holy Cross died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, Iowa. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jose Comparan will officiate. Deb was born July 23, 1955, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Cletus and Emerald (Goerdt) Osterhaus. She had been a resident of Area Residential Care in Dubuque since 1970 and was currently residing at Sunnycrest Manor in Dubuque. Survivors include her sisters-in-law: Karen Osterhaus of Davenport, Marilyn (Ron) LeClair of Syracuse, NY, step siblings: Roger (Donna) Sweeney, Terry (Mary Ann) Sweeney, Tim (Linda) Sweeney, Pat (Stacy) Sweeney, Jan (Cindy) Sweeney, Lisa (Scott) Grekoff, Sheila (John) Zasoba, Sharon (John) Neel, Mary Jean Sweeney, Colleen (Don) Carl, Kathleen (Tim) Shores; numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Dale & Dennis Osterhaus, and her stepmother, Helen Sweeney Osterhaus.
