Dennis Allen James

Dennis Allen James, age 69, of Dubuque, IA, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Ennoble Manor Care Center in Dubuque, IA. He was born the son of Orval and Edith (Garkow) James on February 9, 1943 in Dubuque. Dennis received his education from the Guttenberg School System and spent 31 years of his life working for Ertl Toy Co.. On June 9, 1962, Dennis was married to Ruth Fischer at St. Peters Church in Garnavillo. Together they raised three children. Dennis enjoyed antiquing, traveling and had a passion for cars. Dennis is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Ruth; three children, Kristine Carrier of Doyline LA, Kimberly James of Dubuque and Kevin James of Valdosta GA; two grandsons, Anthony and Jonathan Carrier; mother in law Oceania Fischer of Garnavillo and many other relatives and friends.
