Dennis Walke

Dennis Lee Walke was born the son of Harvey and Veronica (Frommelt) Walke, October 7, 1942, in Guttenberg. He died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Dennis received his education from St. Marys Catholic School and served his country in the United States Army. On August 10, 1968, he was united in marriage with Mary Dianne Boge at St. Marys Church in Guttenberg. Dennis was employed by the United Army Corp. of Engineers, Lock and Dam # 10. He enjoyed fishing, his dogs, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Dianne; two daughters, Deanna (Paul) Hood of Brandy Station, Va. and Donna (Jerry) Reth of Cedar Rapids, four grandchildren, Courtney Reth, Taylor Reth, Collin Hood, and Kyle Hood; three sisters, Leanna Burns of Littleton, Colo., Marlene (Jerry) Olinger of Elkader, and Marcia (Quentin) Ash of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Lynn Walke and Neil Walke of Guttenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister in infancy and stepmother, Evelyn.
