Dianne Klaes

Dianne Mary (Hemphill) Klaes was born the daughter of Clifford and Violet (Orr) Hemphill, September 20, 1936, in Cascade, Iowa. She died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Dianne graduated from St. Marys Catholic School in 1954 and attended Business College in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked for Drs Downey and Zehr; a bookkeeper for Klaes Construction and Trucking; Diamond Joes Lounge and Restaurant and Cellar Nook and was a homemaker for many years. She was active with St. Marys St. Annes Society and Crafty Ladies. On June 2, 1956, she was united in marriage with Robert Klaes at St. Marys Church in Gutenberg. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert; four daughters, LeAnn Esmann, and Lora (John) Kolker both Guttenberg, Janet (Rick) Floyd of Greenville, South Carolina, and Mary Ellen (Tony) Lago of Clearwater, Florida; one son, Kevin (Kari) Klaes of Guttenberg; fifteen grandchildren, two and great-grandchildren, one brother, Bruce (Anne) Hemphill of Downey, California, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
