Donald Garlow

Donald "Butch" Garlow was born the son of Dale and Naomi (Hansel) Garlow, January 26, 1938, near Colesburg. He died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Butch received his education from the Colesburg High School, served his country in the United States Marines, worked for Trademark Homes and Kann Manufacture Service for many years. On February 1, 1986, he was united in marriage with Bonnie Duwe at Palm Harbor, Florida. Butch enjoyed coin collecting, watching deer and turkey roam the country side from his home. He was passionate about his Dodge Trucks and spent his free time watching hunting and fishing programs as well as NASCAR. Don was also a life time member of the AMVETS. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Jennifer Tetmeyer of Ankeny; one son, Travis Garlow of Guttenberg; two sisters, Anna Mae Conrad of Palm Harbor, Florida and Carol (Steve) Brown of Palo; two brothers, Robert Garlow of Cedar Rapids and Dave (Jackie) Garlow of West Union; three grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene Hansel and Larry Garlow; one sister-in-law Merle Hansel; one brother -in-law Ronald Duwe; one niece and four nephews.Visitation: Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
