Donald W. Hansel Jr., 80, of Guttenberg, Iowa passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025.

A private burial was held at Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Don was born on April 11, 1944, in Monona, Iowa, the son of Donald W. Sr. and Betty (Raymond) Hansel. Don married SuAnn Borman on May 7, 1966, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Guttenberg.

Don graduated from Garnavillo High School in 1962. He retired from Cargill. He cherished his time with Sue, especially, a good trip to the Casino in Dubuque.

Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, SuAnn Hansel; sister, Linda (Bruce) Bothwell; and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.
