Donna Mae Vaske

Donna M. Vaske, 77, of Worthington, Iowa passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by love.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 13 , 2024 at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral services will follow 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Gabriel Mensah will officiate.

Donna was born February 9, 1947, in Holy Cross, Iowa, daughter of Alphonse and Alberta (Welter) Roling. She married the love of her life Daniel Vaske on February 7, 1970 in Worthington, Iowa, and quickly started a family having 5 children. Donna had multiple jobs during her life but none more rewarding than being a partner with Danny on their farm. She loved to can vegetables, cook, work on the farm, and when not working loved country dancing with Danny and their friends. Donna carried her camera with her everywhere taking lots of pictures of her family and friends, from high school plays at Beckman to trips to Branson. She was passionate about taking care of the people she loved and would always put their needs before hers. Donna spent countless hours advocating for the Relay for Life always trying to give back to the community she loved. She will be missed dearly but her memory will live within all the people she touched.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Danny; Son - Tim (Jenny) Vaske of Walford, IA and their children Allison (Bryce) Hagenow and great-grandchild Mitchell, Madelyn Vaske; Daughter - Tammy Morrison of Plymouth, MI and her daughter Breanna Morrison; Son - Tony (Kristi) Vaske of Bolingbrook, IL and their children Ethan Schoenleber, Tegan, Cade, and Callie Vaske; Son - Tom (Laura) Vaske of Hopkinton, IA and their children Bryce and Bevin Vaske; also Son - Terry Vaske’s children Josh, Luke, Layne, and Lucy Vaske, Sadie and Wesley Schmidt. Her mother-in-law, Annie Vaske and siblings: Donnie (Pam) Roling, Kenny Roling, Lavonne (Don) Bries, Gary (Patsy) Roling, Mary (Steve) Deppe, Chuck Roling, Bob Roling, Patty (Mark) Nelson, Kathy (Greg) Duethman, Lois Dietzel; and Jim Roling’s wife Ruth.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alphonse and Alberta Roling, father-in-law Wilfred Vaske, her son Terry, her granddaughter Samantha Vaske, her sibling Jim Roling, and her in-laws Sharon Roling, Grace Roling, and Dennis Dietzel.
