Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jo (Vic) Budan of Dyersville, 3 grandchildren: Lee Ann (Bob) Krapfl of Dubuque, Thomas (Sarah) Budan of Cedar Falls, IA and Michael (Amy) Budan of Ottumwa, 8 great-grandchildren: Matthew (Marie) Krapfl, Tim Krapfl, Chris and Thad Gross, Abbie and Justin Budan and Maddie and Charlie Budan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo in 2004, a granddaughter, Barbara Gross, one brother, Vernon Lindeman and a sister, Ella Sanner. Dorothy was born on October 25, 1909 in Hazel Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Adoph and Anna (Scarry) Lindeman. She graduated from St. Paul school in Worthington. Dorothy married Leo "Whitey" H. Tauke on July 14, 1936 in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they operated Whitey's Place in Dyersville from 1948 until retirement in 1975. During her lifetime Dorothy was a School Teacher in several country schools. She loved to dance, go fishing, knit and quilt, watch sports on T.V. and play cards.
