Dorothy Tobin

Dorothy was born October 29, 1916 in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of George W. and Lillian (Hartness) O'Neil. She married Lester "Mac" Tobin September 22, 1956 in Manchester, Iowa. Dorothy was employed by the Plaza Hotel in Dyersville. She was a member of Xavier Parish, VFW, American Legion and Mercy Hospital Auxiliaries. She was also a lifetime member of the Dyersville Sportsman Club. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at Oak Crest Manor, doing crossword and other puzzles, playing bingo and scratching in her flower garden. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include a son, John (Ellen) La Page of Dyersville. 3 grandchildren: Lisa (Mike) Fesanco, Lora (Jeff) Santi, Kim (Dave) Beitz and 6 great grandchildren: Michael Fesanco, Madison, Ethan and Maren Santi, Ryan, Clare Beitz and Godson Brian Waechter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Mac in 1981, her parents and Eugene and Mae DuFae, the aunt and uncle by whom she was raised.
