Duwane D Duwe

Obituary Duwane Delbert Duwe, age 96, of Guttenberg, IA, died Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Guttenberg Care Center. He was born on the home farm in Guttenberg on March 10, 1925, the son of Larry and Mathilda (Sadewasser) Duwe. Duwane received his education in Guttenberg and worked for Meuser Lumber Company for 43 years. On May 3, 1945, Duwane married his high school sweetheart Eldora Fuelling. Duwane served as the Guttenberg School Board Secretary for 19 years and was the caretaker for the high school football field for 15 years. Duwane entered heaven leaving behind his 2 daughters; Dottie (Douglas) Nefzger & Diane (Chris) Juran; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Dianne Duwe; brother Curt Duwe and many other relatives and friends. Duwane was preceded in death by his parents; wife Eldora in Dec 2020; daughter Doris in infancy; son Dennis Duwe in Oct 2020 and his first wife Rosalie Duwe; 2 grandsons, Mark & Paul Duwe; sister Dorene Walter and brother Howard Duwe.
