Edward H Winch

Edward H Winch was born the son of Edward and Elsie (Dryer) Winch on October 14, 1926 near Guttenberg. He died Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Edward received his education locally and worked for Trademark Homes for many years. Ed also served his country proudly during WWII, training K-9s for the United States Army. In his free time he loved visiting with people, playing bingo and most of all, his dog. Those left to cherish his memory are; one sister Donna (Augie) Thein and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Roy and Verdes Winch; three sisters, Betty Marovets, Evelyn Ferris and Alvera Winch. Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. 1st, Guttenberg, IA, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2005. Graveside service will be at the Guttenberg City Cemetery at 10:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2005 , Rev. Penny Hansel officiating.
