Eldon John Kerkhoff, 99 of Guttenberg, formerly of Dyersville, IA died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Guttenberg Care Center, Guttenberg. Visitation will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in the SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Petersburg, IA. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Eldon was born June 21, 1916 at Petersburg, the son of Alphonse and Susan (Grawe) Kerkhoff. Survivors include his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Siblings: Amanda (Edwin) Schmidt, Modesta (Edmund) Overmann, Rita (Arnold and Clarence) Gassmann.
