Survivors include her 2 brothers: Robert "Bob" of Center Junction and John (Janet) Andreesen of Anamosa; 4 nephews: John L., Jeffrey, Joel and James Thomas; a niece, Sheryl Dlask; 4 great nephews; Connor, Jacob, Benjamin and Luke; 3 great nieces: Jayne, Sophie and Jillian; a special friend, Marian Roper of Brandon, FL, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Jayne Andreesen. Betty Ann was born on July 23, 1928, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bessie Fern (Horr) Andreesen. She graduated from Anamosa High School with the Class of 1946 and went on to American Institute of Business in Des Moines where she earned an Associates Degree. Thereafter, she and three other area women moved to Orlando, FL in 1951. Betty Ann began working for what is now CIGNA Property & Casualty Companies. In 1955, she moved with the company to Tampa where she continued her career, eventually becoming a Financial Manager and retiring in 1988. Betty was an active member of Apostle Lutheran Church in Brandon and volunteered her time and talents to ECHO and to Meals on Wheels. She was also a season thicket holder for Professional Soccer.
