Elizabeth Kronlage

Betty was born January 23, 1927 in Dyersville the daughter of August and Christina (Till) Schuster. She was the youngest of 11 children (4 brothers and 6 sisters). She was educated at St. Francis Xavier High School in Dyersville where she graduated in the class of 1945. After graduation she moved to Sausalito, California where she worked in a bank. She then moved to Dubuque where she worked for Dubuque Stone Products. On November 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Arthur Kronlage at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. To this union eight children were born. Betty was a lifetime member of St. Francis Xavier Basilica. Her life centered on her faith, family, friends and her home. Survivors include her husband, Art, of Dyersville; 3 sons: Douglas (Vickie) of Charles City, IA, Phil (Jane) of Bloomington, MN, David (Sherry) of Dyersville, IA; 5 daughters: Beth (Stephen) Heims of Manchester, IA, Mary Kay (Keith) Newton of West Des Moines, IA, Joan (Doug) Thompson of Solon, IA, Karolyn Allen of Omaha, NE, and Aimee (Robert) Rooney of West Des Moines, IA; 3 sisters: Lucille Meyers of Dyersville, IA, Kathleen Klaus of Earlville, IA and Donna Jean Cook of Oxford, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.
