Emily R. Nurre

DYERSVILLE, IOWA

   Emily R. Nurre, 44, of Dyersville passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle of cancer.

   A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at KC Hall in Dyersville for gathering of friends and family.

   She was born November 14, 1980, in Dyersville, the daughter of Michael and Trudy (Steffen) Nurre. Emily graduated from Western Dubuque High School 2000. Married John Ross in 2009, but later divorced. She enjoyed all the customers at Hartig Drug where she worked and spending time with her children.  

  Emily is survived by her children: Alexis Ross (fiancé Mason Capuzzo) of Cedar Rapids, Bryce Ross of Dyersville; parents: Michael and Trudy Nurre; siblings: Kelly (Arron) Wulfekuhle of Cedar Rapids, Aaron Nurre, Dyersville, and Adam (Emily) Nurre Dyersville. 

   She was proceeded in death by her grandparents: Raymond and Joan Nurre, and Richard and Ivanelle (Nellie) Steffen. 

   The family would like to thank the staff at Care initiatives Hospice, Regional Medical Center, and Hall Perine Center for their excellent care.
