Surviving are her husband, Gerald, 2 sons: Ken (Lois) and Steve (Karolyn), a daughter, Joyce Meyers (and friend Joe Gibbs), all of Dyersville; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons, a sister, Bernice Merrick, of Dyersville; 7 sisters-in-law: Norma Klostermann, Millie Klostermann, Verna (Jerry) Juergens, Lori Klostermann, Catherine Griffin, Mercedes (Gilbert) Singsank and Eileen Olberding; 6 brothers-in-law: Ted Mock, Elmer Tegeler, Ray (Gen), Delbert (Marge) and Donald (Darlene) Olberding and Joe Schlichte; Erma is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Janet, on October 7, 1963, a granddaughter, Stefanie Olberding, on March 21, 1979, 5 brothers: Irv, Elmer "Lefty", Harold, LeRoy and Vern Klostermann; 3 sisters: Dorothy Hoeger, Betty Mock and Edna Tegeler; 4 brothers-in-law: Glen Merrick, Tony Tegeler, Al Hoeger and Bob Olberding; 1 sisters-in-law: Germaine Schlichte. Erma was born September 28, 1926 in Dyersville, IA the daughter of John and Cecelia (Grawe) Klostermann. She married Gerald Olberding on January 27, 1948, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica where they were lifelong members of the parish. Erma was a homemaker who helped Gerry on the farm until retirement in 1988 when they moved to town. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, quilting, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
